Abstract

Using Freud's quote that "There is much greater continuity between intrauterine life and early childhood than the marked caesura of the act of birth leads us to believe", Bion proposes, in this article, a speculation on archaic sources. of thought, or mental life, which are outside the context of perceptible experiences accumulated after birth. For this, it makes use of the possible connections between the life of affections and pre and postnatal thoughts.
