Abstract

The present text seeks to present, in general terms, René Kaës’ conception of the theory of dreams in its connection with Freudian thought and the Bakhtinian notion of the polyphony of discourse. The originality of Kaës’ work arises from the matrix links with Freud’s thought, but also establishes – in relation to such thought – an opening in the psychoanalytic understanding of the phenomenon of the dream.
