The “Es” and the aesthetic dimension of psychoanalysis

Based on studies about the aesthetic dimension of psychoanalysis and the proposal of the recent FEBRAPSI congress to pay homage to Freud's classic work, The Ego and the Id, this article proposes, based on the contributions made by Bion, Winnicott, Meltzer and post-Bionian authors, that the driving force behind emotional development shifts from the intrapsychic to the intersubjective sphere, based on the emotional experiences shared by the subject and their objects. The repercussions of this aesthetic model for the psychoanalytic method are also mentioned.
