De la pérdida a la reconstrucción
una perspectiva psicoanalítica del proceso migratorio

La migración es un proceso psicosocial complejo que impacta profundamente la organización psíquica y la identidad del individuo (Akhtar, 1995). A partir de una revisión narrativa de referentes psicoanalíticos clásicos y contemporáneos, este estudio propone analizar el proceso migratorio en tres ejes principales: el duelo por las pérdidas de objetos, el papel del espacio transicional y de la función continente en la adaptación psíquica, y la transformación identitaria. La migración desencadena inevitablemente un duelo que, si se elabora de modo adaptativo, posibilita la integración de nuevas realidades internas y externas; por el contrario, las formas patológicas del duelo dificultan la inversión afectiva en el nuevo contexto. La creación de espacios transicionales y la presencia de figuras con función continente facilitan la simbolización de las pérdidas y la continuidad del self. El proceso migratorio convoca al sujeto a reconstruir una narrativa identitaria capaz de integrar elementos de la cultura de origen y de la cultura receptora, configurándose no solo como un factor de vulnerabilidad psíquica, sino también como una oportunidad de reestructuración de la identidad.
