Resumen

A maioria dos analistas busca promover uma mudança psíquica em seus pacientes e considera todas as formas de resistência um impedimento à obtenção dessas mudanças. Segundo o autor, todas as resistências e especialmente a reação terapêutica negativa e/ou o equilíbrio psíquico constituem uma entidade de considerável importância, até agora menosprezada quanto a seu papel de proteção de uma criança que não se desenvolve, um náufrago que sobreviveu à catástrofe de ser abandonado por seu falso self gêmeo que teve mais sucesso. Desta perspectiva, o sobrevivente do naufrágio vê o analista como alguém em conluio com seu irmão gêmeo bem-sucedido (na mudança psíquica) e que, portanto, ameaça a sua frágil segurança. O analista deverá, pois, estar atento a essas duas personalidades (AU)
