Beckett e Bion: criação – experiência emocional

Resumo

Parece haver muito em comum entre as investigações de Bion no que tange ao desenvolvimento da capacidade de pensar e os escritos de Beckett abordando a luta entre a necessidade de dar um sentido à vida e o medo de sucumbir diante do vazio do inominado. O fato de Bion ter atendido Beckett como paciente por dois anos enquanto trabalhava na Clínica Tavistok não passou despercebido. Alguns aspectos foram encontrados na literatura psicanalítica, tanto no que tange ao ponto de partida comum entre ambos, a dificuldade de dar voz ao inefável, de dizer o indizível, quanto na ideia do nada como um ponto de partida, um espaço potencial. Após brevíssima nota biográfica de ambos, um recorte da literatura disponível sobre o tema é rastreada. O fato de a linguagem becketiana refletir em grande medida uma espécie de ilustração clínica dos escritos kleinianos da época, expressando conflitos especialmente perturbadores e profundos através de uma linguagem paradoxal, minimalista, que acreditava ser mais eficaz é correlacionado com o que Bion enunciaria mais tarde sob o conceito de linguagem de êxito, como a forma de escolha para se comunicar com o O do paciente. Ambos nos propõem, ao fim, a criação como alternativa ao nada preenchido com não-coisas ou idealizado como forma de negar o nosso desamparo.

Beckett and Bion: creation – emotional experience

There seems to be much in common between Bion’s investigations in regard to the development of thinking capacity and Beckett’s writings approaching the struggle between the need to attribute sense to life and the fear of succumbing in face of the void of the innominate. The fact that Bion saw Beckett as his patient for two years while working at the Tavistok Clinic did not go unnoticed. Some aspects have been found in psychoanalytic literature, in regard to what concerns the starting point shared in common by them, the difficulty of giving voice to the ineffable, of saying the unutterable, as well as in the idea of the nothing as a starting point, a potential space. After a very short biographic note on each one of them, a picture of the literature available on the subject is traced. The fact that Becketian language reflects in great part, a sort of clinical illustration of Kleinian writings of those times, expressing profound and disturbing conflicts through a paradoxical, minimalist language, that he believed was more efficient, is correlated to what Bion would state later on the concept of successful language as the way of choice to communicate with the O of the patient. Both propose, at the end, the creation as an alternative to the nothing, filled with no-things or idealized as a way to deny our helplessness.
